The New Mexico Film Producers Association is a professional organization providing promotion, advocacy, education and networking for our membership. Membership is open to any company or individual of high standing, based in New Mexico that has managerial, budget or creative control for the production or offers services to moving visual media and film productions.
The NMFPA promotes the membership throughout our industry and to organizations or companies which use our services or provides services to Producers.
We are advocates for our members in legal, business and political forums affecting our livelihood. The organization delivers on-going professional development to our members as producers, business people and citizens. Finally, fellowship between members builds a network of resources and fosters friendly competition.
The NMFPA defends the livelihood of local production professionals by uniting producers and suppliers against unfair legislation and unfair labor practices.
The NMFPA promotes the local film and video production market as a highly creative, competitive, and international source of professional production expertise.
The NMFPA assists local production professionals and suppliers by providing educational and informative programs and events that give its members the competitive edge they need to be successful in the global marketplace.

What does the NMFPA do for the Film and Video Industry at large?
Your membership fess go to promoting, defending and assisting the film and video industry in the city, the state and the nation. In 2011, the NMFPA will lobby important film incentives and issues for New Mexico Film Producers at the state legislature. With the NMFPA assistance and the founding of the New Mexico film incentive created in 2002 our work will continue on all fronts making New Mexico film and video productions and services competitive to other states. Also in 2011, the NMFPA will play an important role in the first NMFPA Film Market/Tradeshow that will attract distributors. These are a few of the efforts that the NMFPA will support in the Defense, Promotion and Assistance of the film and video industry in New Mexico.
In 2011, The NMFPA will actively include professional producers from the interactive and animation industries making the NMFPA a strategic and seminal force for producers.

- PRODUCER category of membership is open to companies or individals who are actively engaged in the production business as a producer
- ASSOCIATE category of membership is open to individuals and companies who offer support services too the video/film/digital media production industry. A membership term is for one calendar year beginning at the date of your acceptance by The Board of Directors
